I don’t care how old I get I will ALWAYS love celebrating my birthday.
Which happens to be TODAY!
In honor of my Birthday Weekend Extravaganza (I milk my birthday as long as I can), I have created a birthday workout playlist. It’s a nice mixture of generic birthday rituals, wishes and references along with a couple of songs in honor of me (which is what a birthday is all about).
- Happy Birthday by Concrete Blond: A lazy day seems like an ideal way to spend ones birthday, but I get bored. Maybe just a lazy morning?
- Birthday by Meredith Brooks: I could have chosen her better known hit but my mom reads the blog. I thought this cheeky tune would be a more appropriate pick.
- Dancing Queen by Abba: This is me. With a tiara. Under the disco ball. Also at the top of the charts the year I was born. Coincidence? I think not.
- Raise Your Glass by Pink: Birthdays are about celebrating who you are. I’ll be raising my Starbucks cup celebrating with a Dirty Chai.
- It’s My Birthday by Mya: I agree. A woman should get what she wants on her birthday.
- It’s My Party by Amy Winehouse: I had my share of lonely birthdays before I found myself (and my amazing husband). No more!
- B-Day Song by Madonna (feat. MIA): No one had better attempt birthday spankings!
- Birthday Cake by Rihanna: She’s obviously thinking about a different cake.
- Jive Talkin’ by the BeeGees: Top of the charts the week I was born. Maybe that is why I love them so!
- In the Club by 50 Cent: Yeah, I’ve pretty much been chanting this song the whole weekend.
Yes, I had cake.
Yes, I gave myself a few days out of the gym.
I expect you to enjoy your birthday too, whenever it is.
