The best word to describe the recent weather in the Ozarks is FRIGID. I know other parts of the country are digging out from FEET of snow, making our few inches seem inconsequential. Yet the cold temperatures have me bundled up and longing for Spring Break.
All I can think of as I shiver in my office is taking a road trip, a spring break get away. I used to love a good road trip. As the co pilot and navigator on college road trips (while my best friend drove) I was in charge of the music. This was before we had playlists we could put on shuffle. Instead we swapped CDs and searched in vain for a radio station playing something other than country music in the middle of the night outside of Paducah, KY. I love the speed of air travel, but sometimes I miss a good road trip.
