Value is not always about the lowest price.
You pay a little more for your haircut. Not just because you LOVE your stylist but because her salon is a monthly oasis of calm in your busy world.
The small fee it costs to have Hy-Vee deliver your groceries is totally worth the time saved navigating the ever changing aisles and Saturday afternoon crowds.
Someone else cleans your home twice a month. You believe it’s the best investment you’ve ever made in your happiness.
It’s not that you don’t like a bargain. You just know that time is just as valuable as money. That’s why you LOVE Target. You love the convenience of so many stylish yet practical things at one store. You can grab an Oprah Chai (no latte) while you shop for cat food, nail polish, paper towels and a cute birthday card for your niece. All your basic needs can be met in one place on a quiet Wednesday evening. The bonus? Sometimes you find a bargain or two.
What you may not know is how much Target can help you build a fit lifestyle. Target has plenty of healthy living hacks to help make the most of your valuable retail therapy time. You may be a regular Target shopper for household staples and home goods. You know that they have yoga mats and Lunabars too but I bet there are few fit lifestyle products you haven’t found yet. Here’s my list of 11 healthy living products I want you to check out on your next trip to “Tarh-jay”.
Market Pantry Natural Peanut Butter
No sugar added to this budget friendly find. It’s not organic but the only way it could get simpler is if you made your own nut butter at home. The price is right so stock up!
Archer Farms Diced Sweet Potatoes
You can save time the next time you make chili or a frittata with already pealed and diced sweet potatoes. Or you can steam the whole bag for a quick side vegetable to go along with whatever protein you choose to throw on the grill.
Wholly Guacamole Minis
Ever try to cut up a too green avocado at work? Always fresh, perfectly portable and all natural, the mini cups come in at just 100 calories each. Try it on your taco salad or in a wrap with a hard-boiled egg and spinach.
Archer Farms Frozen Butternut Squash
Fresh butternut squash out of season tastes awful. Flash frozen, this version is actually preferable when you can’t get it at your local farmers market. It’s perfect for your Iron Woman Smoothie.
Green Giant Cauliflower Crumbles
Maybe you haven’t gotten around to buying a food processor yet. No worries…buy your cauliflower pre “riced”. Now cauliflower fried rice is easier than ever!
Up & Up Multi-Vitamin
The Target brand multi passed muster with Consumer Reports making it a bargain compared to supplement store brands. This is another staple you can stock up on as long as you keep an eye to the expiration date.
C9 Workout Pants
C9 is Champion apparel exclusively for Target. The pants are modestly priced and come in short, average or tall. When you’re 5’3’ like me that’s a huge bonus. If I need new pants to wear for client sessions or for when I do workshops I know I can go to Target and come out with at least one pair instead of wasting a whole morning going from store to store.
Simple Balance Sparking Water
You’ve kicked the soda habit but sometimes you want a bubbly treat. These have no calories, no artificial sweeteners and no artificial colors or flavors. They are great for parties when you want to have a little something special. Ginger Peach is my favorite.
GoPicnic meals
These are my biggest fit on the go tip! Target usually has the best price (even better than the GoPicnic web site) and all the flavors. Stock up and keep them in your desk or laptop bag.
Vega Protein + Greens Protein Powder
This plant based protein powder is the one I can’t get enough of right now. I make a mug cake every night so I buy at least two on every Target trip. I use it in my Green Goddess smoothie when I need something to eat at a lunchtime meeting or drink it with just water for a quick post workout refuel.
Garnier Fructis Volume Extender Dry Shampoo
This is a staple in my gym bag for when there is no time to shower after a workout. A few sprays of this followed by a quick run of the flat iron and I am ready for round two of client sessions. I’ve tried more expensive brands and this is still my favorite.
NO…Target is not paying me to tell you this. I’m just a Target shopper who also happens to be a busy woman helping other busy women. I love to share what I know makes me life easier in hopes that it will make your life easier. I keep an eye on prices but I am not afraid to pay a little more if it leaves me room for the things that matter most in my life. I’m just a big fan of shopping healthy at Target because it helps me live the life I want… and sip a grande Oprah chai while I do it.
