No alarm.
No plans.
The biggest decision you have to make today is what tea you’ll have with breakfast.
It’s Sunday.
I do my best to keep Sundays just for me. I hold Sundays sacred. Not for any religious reason but for the fact it is the one day I don’t work. I unplug from social media for the day. I don’t do the laundry or other chores. I make the time to take care of me and do things that recharge me for the week ahead. It is my secret to not dreading Mondays.
Do you have a day were you get to stop?
Do you have a day were you get to take even part of the day to focus on you?
Do you need to set aside some time each week, even if it’s just 30 minutes, for much needed self-care?
I still cook on Sundays. I get a good workout in and I plan for the week. I make sure to do the things that I need to be the best me I can for not just myself but everyone else who depends on me. The busier I get the more important my Sundays are to me.
As we move into a time of year when our weekends can quickly disappear in a flurry of multiple Thanksgiving meals, holiday open houses and basketball tournaments you need to set aside a little sacred time for you. 30 minutes in the gym can be some of the best and the most accessible self-care we can get. This playlist is perfect to help you turn Sunday into a Funday, even if it is just for 30 minutes of sweat therapy.
